Courtney Thorne-Smith Bio

Courtney Thorne-Smith (born November 8 in 1967) is an American actor from America. Her most well-known roles include her roles as Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim as well as her recurring role on Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne Smith was born in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father. Lora Thorne was her mother, and she was a psychotherapist. Courtney was seven when her parents divorced. Courtney lived with both parents at various times. Jennifer her older sister, is an advertising executive. She graduated in 1985 from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California. She also performed for the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley while attending high school. Thorne Smith's first movie appearance was in the feature film drama Lucas. The film was co-produced by Winona Ryder (Corey Haim) and Charlie Sheen. In the 80s, she starred in several movies including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II : Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (87) and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she appeared as a star in the box-office flop Chairman Of The Board together with Carrot Top. In 2009, she appeared in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith was a lover of Andrew Shue from Melrose Place in the early 1990s. In June 2000, she was married Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple separated in January 2001. On January 1 2007 she got married to Roger Fishman, president of the marketing company the Zizo Group and author of the book What I Know. She gave birth to Jacob Emerson Fishman on January 11, 2008, at 40 years old.
