Joe (1970), was auditioned for by Joe (1970) and Joe (1970) both recently graduated Catholic University students. Chris Sarandon, an actor who had studied in acting, was not selected. His wife Susan was offered the role in the film as Susan Compton. Susan is the daughter of Bill Compton (Dennis Patrick). Dad Bill, Susan's drug dealer lover, is killed in the film. Joe (Peter Boyle) is a bigot who works on an assembly line, then meets Joe (Sarandon). Janet gets involved with Dr. Frank n Furter, plays Janet in the film The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). In the more than 15 years since starting her career, Sarandon has finally been actively campaigning to be cast in a memorable role, Annie in Bull Durham (1988), flying at her own expense Rome from Rome to Los Angeles. "It was such a wonderful script ... and was able to dispel numerous myths and changed the American definition of success", she said. "I went to the studio with Kevin Costner, sex some men in the studio before getting back on the plane. Tim Robbins, her Bull Durham (1988), supporting actor, was her first love. He had two sons by the year 1992. This put Sarandon in a precarious position. She left her home in order to pursue roles that were truly challenging. The result was four Academy Award nominations in the 1990s and for the best actress in Dead Man Walking (1995). Louis Malle's Atlantic City (1980) was her first Academy Award nomination.
