Moss was born on the 13th of February in 1977. He is an American footballer. He
played with the Minnesota Vikings (Oak Raiders), New England Patriots (New
England Patriots), Tennessee Titans (Tennessee Titans) as well as the San
Francisco 49ers in the National Football League. He is widely acknowledged as
Jerry Rice's top wide receiver. He holds the NFL single season touchdown
reception record of 23 in 2007 the NFL rookie single season touchdown reception
records (17 in 1998), and is second on NFL's all-time regular-season touchdown
receptions list, with 156. Moss is famous for his ability to secure contested
catches. The word "mossed" was coined by the NFL and has entered the
football vocabulary, became popularized because of this. Following his football
career Moss began his career as a studio announcer at ESPN for their Sunday NFL
Countdown program and Monday Night Countdown. Moss was born in Rand, West
Virginia. He attended DuPont High School, one of two schools that later
amalgamated into Riverside High School, where he excelled in football,
basketball as well as baseball and track. Randy was also a member of the
school's debate team. Moss played a key role in leading the DuPont Panthers
football team to two consecutive state championships in 1992, 1993. Moss was an
outstanding wide receiver. He also was a free safety, and punt return. He was
awarded the Kennedy Award in 1994 as West Virginia's Football Player of the
Year. Parade magazine named him to their annual All-American high school
football team in 1995. in 2009, he was named among the 50 best footballers from
high schools of all time.
